Overview
The original luxury tent cabin at Morning Song, this is a great place to enjoy privacy, quiet, and an organic farm, yet still close to wine tours, ballooning, and diverse dining options in nearby Temecula and Fallbrook. Full covered, outdoor kitchen with stove, griddle and oven. Chest refrigerator, separate ice maker. Just steps to your private bathroom with shower. Both tent and bath house have keyed entries.
The Space
Queen bed with and two Full pull out coaches. Full, private bathroom. Small, fully stocked kitchen graces the view deck. You'll find breakfast items, including Kodikas coffee, and our delicious farm eggs in your fully stocked, covered...but outdoor kitchen! Vintage stove, and all the small gadget appliances you need to cook wonderful meals. Fans, central evaporative cooling system, for warm weather, space heater for cold nights.
Guest Access
Inside the cabin, you'll find a beautiful queen canopy bed, liviing area seating, and two pull out couches (both FULL size). Walk the farm, feed the chickens and alpacas, or walk down the road to nearby Roadrunner Winery.
Guest Interaction
There's always someone on our working farm, but your privacy is important to us. Jump into one of our daily, free, Goat Interactions, or sign up for a private cheese making class, jam making class, bread and butter class, art class, or Ice Cream Activity.
Other Things To Note
It's important that booking guests are aware that this is a safari TENT, please be certain that all members of your party are aware that although quite nice, there are differences...big differences between a tent and any one of our other farmstay listings here at Morning Song Farm.
Cons:
1. Evaporative cooling system works to cool tent, but there's no insulation in a canvas tent, so our tent's cooling system isn't the same as the whole house systems or mini split systems you may be familiar with in your own home.
2. No interior walls dividing the tent (see photo); there's a queen bed and two FULL sized sleeper coaches all in one, beautifully made, open-concept, safari tent.
3. The kitchen is under the rain fly, but on the outside deck.
4. The bathroom is totally private, but is build immediately adjacent to the tent, meaning you have to walk OUTSIDE to get to your bathroom.
5. There are two parking areas, option A is right off the road for those that don't want to drive very far on a dirt road. For instance, many turbo vehicles are not designed to drive on a dirt road. The other parking area, option B, allows you to drive to your front door, about a 100 feet closer than option A.
6. The shower has an RV water heater, so short showers are a must.
7. The refrigerator is a well insulated "chest" type and suits the tent, but is different than a home's refrigerator in its configuration and space. If you put a bag of ice in it, it will lower the temperature by a few critical degrees, turning it into an "ice box," and freeze your food.

PROS:
1. Ours may be the most luxurious camp kitchen you have seen! Our vintage O'Keefe and Merritt stove has a griddle and an oven. Stocked with simple appliances such as blender, juicer, waffle iron, coffee maker, popcorn maker and more.
2. Most tents don't offer a private bathroom, ours is totally private and designed for our safari tent guests' exclusive and convenient use. Door is keyed.
3. Lots of parking!
4. Cut from our herb plantings in the landscape!
5. Exclusive use hot tub immediately adjacent to front deck offers privacy and convenience.

We ask that visitors refrain from harvesting food from our working groves, but are welcome and encouraged to pick from the edible landscaping inside your fenced property if there's anything in season during your visit.

There's so much to do in the area, we send a comprehensive Activity Guide which includes on-farm activities, as well as local favorites and hidden gems. Choose from wine tasting, limo tours, ballooning, and sky diving for example. Both nearby Pala and Pechanga Casinos offer a full calendar of events and good buffets. Temecula's nearby Old Town District offers night life for revelers of all ages; while adjacent Fallbrook offers garden tours, wine tasting, the Santa Margarita River Reserve hike, horse back riding, a quirky Main Street for shopping and some of the best Mexican food you'll find north of the Mexican border.

Wow...this is as tough as a job interview. Who am I? I really enjoy meeting different people, and count myself lucky to get to share this little slice of farming paradise with lots of well traveled guests. A confirmed Foodie, my original interest in growing things was for my own table. So a lot of what we grow here at Morning Song Farm is rare and unusual; dragon fruit, mulberries, macadamias, guavas, loquats, sapote, Carissa plum and kumquats. My shelves are proof of my eclectic tastes, including organic gardening books, mediation, political history, economics and numerous cheese making books which has become a focus for about a decade now. I teach it here for those that would like to discover how easy it is to make your own cheese! Just ask.
Aesthetics are important to me, I've worked hard to transform our farm into something beautiful...although it's an ongoing fight against the dark forces of weeds and derelict farm equipment. Friends say staying here is very relaxing, the skies are often filled with stars you can't see in the city, and although city-close, it feels like we're far, far away. I need that solitude, as many of our visitors will attest to, it's restorative.

House Rules
1. By confirming a reservation you are acknowledging that you have read our cancellation policy and you and your guests agree to our House Rules below.

2. Sorry, but no guest animals, we have enough of our own here, and it's a carefully crafted balance!

3. Please drive carefully once on-farm.

4. Don't enter any barn or corral without a crew member to assure we have no escapees.

5. Do not arrive with or invite unregistered guests to our farm to visit or stay. Our liability policy extends to registered guests only from check-in to check-out only.

6. We are farmers and keep farmers' hours. If this is your first visit to Morning Song Farm, and would like a hosted check-in, please plan to check-in no later than 8:00 p.m., or let's make sure ahead of time that you're confident with directions and finding your door once on the farm if you plan on arriving after 8:00, and therefore without a hosted greeting. If you are a returning guest and would prefer a self-check in, just let us know and we'll leave the light on. After check-in, we assume our guests will come and go as they please. There are no locked gates and no problem at all with coming in late during your stay, as the farmstay unit is totally separate from everyone else's here.

7. No indoors smoking or vaping/ huka so that we can offer a smoke-free environment to our many non-smoking and allergy-sensitive guests. As much as it would be a convenience to walk around the farm lit; it's a fire hazard. Please smoke in designated area only. We have provided a large, sand-filled bucket for butts in the sitting area.

8. California is a Recreational Marijuana State. Please use the privilege afforded by the State of California’s voters responsibly on our farm and abide by all State laws. Traditional pharmacies and a trusted local dispensary are listed in our guidebook.

9. To keep our Farmstay affordable, we have a small cleaning fee, please leave your kitchen tidy when you check out. We do not expect vacationing guests to do normal housekeeping duties, but we do expect the kitchen to be left as you find it.

10. You can't use our farm address to mail or ship items to yourself or in care of Morning Song Farm. The post office doesn't deliver to us here, and UPS/FED EX doesn't do door delivery either; so they will return to sender.
