Overview
This is not your grandmother's spare room! Stylish, quiet, clean, and peaceful! Five minute walk to Nike World Campus. Within 5 miles or less‐‐ Intel, IBM, Columbia Sportswear campus, St. Vincent & Kaiser hospitals. Are you a single female? My environment and neighborhood are safe. Ideal for traveling nurses and business traveler. Fifteen minute drive to downtown PDX, convenient close transit, big award winning park, nature trails, shopping, restaurants, coffee, & wineries. Stay and play!

You will sleep peacefully in my Hollywood-themed bedroom surrounded by souvenirs of my entertainment history. Walk upstairs, relax, and make the room your own with a spacious desk work area and chair, closet with shelves, iron and ironing board, AC and a small table and chair. Your private bath is right across the hall and includes a soft SPA terry robe, toiletries, a hair dryer and plush bath sheets!

You have access to your own private bedroom and private bathroom, as well as downstairs living area including dining, kitchen, small powder room, and my plant filled patio courtyard. Please no cooking, although I'll make space in my refrigerator for your groceries (Fred Meyer/Kroger blocks away) and you can use my microwave and toaster oven. I provide a continental breakfast basket: fruit, energy bars, coffee or tea. Access to washer/dryer included with a 7+ night stay.

I live on site and sleep in a separate master suite. I enjoy visiting with guests, however I will respect your privacy. I am friendly, yet quiet. Whether you are a business or vacation traveler, I honor your own space. Your comfort is very important to me.

I enjoy my neighborhood because it feels a little bit country (quiet/peaceful), yet short blocks to the entire Nike World Campus and so close (15 minute drive or 30 minutes light rail) to the energy and vitality of downtown Portland. By car, one hour to the Columbia River Gorge, 90 minutes to the coast. Take a zip line adventure in close-by Gaston and indulge in Washington, Multnomah and Yamhill County wineries, lavender farms, farmers markets, festivals, and there is the fascinating Rice Rock Museum nearby. It's easy to take a 20 minute trip on the light rail Max blue or red line to Washington Park, hike the trails, take a picnic and visit the Rose and Japanese Gardens, the Forestry Center and the Zoo. Oh and don't forget to indulge in our numerous craft beers (most craft breweries in the world) and if you are a foodie or not, you will love our local fresh cuisine. Don't forget to check out our food carts too!! Even if you are a business traveler, my guests have found the time to enjoy the surrounding areas!

Free on-street parking. Convenient public transit‐‐walk to bus stops and the Max light rail is a 20 minute walk to Beaverton Creek or Merlo Stations. Blocks to Nike World Campus (you can use their orange bikes too), IBM, and Knight Cancer Center. Also minutes to Columbia Sportswear Corporate Offices and high tech like Tektronix and Intel. St. Vincent Hospital and our new Kaiser Hospital are 15 minutes away. Walk three blocks west to award winning Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation center with tennis, swimming, indoor/outdoor walking tracks, ball courts and fields, etc. Across the street from the park are restaurants, Starbucks, one stop shopping (Fred Meyer/Kroger) and walking trails. Costco is a mile away. You'll walk or use bus to travel two miles east to Cedar Hills shopping center with movie complex, Best Buy, multiple gyms, Powell's Books, many restaurants, Ulta, New Seasons Market, Bed Bath and Beyond and even a bowling alley! Don't forget shopping is tax free in Oregon!

Because I live in an attached town home, once in a very great while, you may hear muffled sounds downstairs, from my neighbors. Not invasive. I've happily lived here 13 years!
I am also a traveler and stay at AirBnBs. The advantage of traveling and hosting is meeting new people from all around the world. I can also give you lots of visitor information about Portland as well as Washington County (where I live). I am an enthusiastic volunteer downtown PDX at the Travel Portland Visitor's Center.

I am an enthusiastic, energetic, youthful grandmother of 7. Since my life long advice to those I love is "listen, then follow your heart," I have decided to follow my own advice and embrace the generous hospitality which my family and friends are drawn too, therefore opening my "Hollywood" themed bedroom to guests.

My small courtyard garden nurtures my spirit when I make time for a little dirt therapy and during spring time, I suffer from plant madness! I enjoy the theater/movies, books, spiritual learning, meeting new people, and travel. I'm curious about the world and have visited many countries and parts of US, and Mexico including Baja . I have ventured by ship, sailboat, car, motor home, plane and train and I have even salmon fished on the Oregon coast in a sailboat!! I crave a great cup of coffee!
