Overview
"GumDrop" is a 13 ft. Tear Drop trailer all hand crafted out of wood, metal and aluminum. The interior has two closets and some shelves. There are doors on both sides of the trailer so that you don’t have to climb over your partner to exit the trailer. At the back of the trailer there is a hatch back that opens up to reveal the cute kitchen with sink where you can make basic meals, prepare coffee, tea etc Included is a propane burner to prepare meals. Located right in the edge of the desert

Please read my reviews and the kind words guests have written about this location.

If this trailer is booked I have multiple listings on Airbnb in the same vintage trailer park.

The trailer is sitting in a very cool rustic artsy vintage park - Desert Sands Vintage RV Park est. in 1960 and is the oldest RV park in Borrego Springs which has mostly vintage trailers, some of the best landscaping for miles, breathtaking views, epic sunsets, bright starry nights and happy guests. If you've ever wanted to stay in a cool vintage trailer, this is heaven. The pool is warm year round. Borrego Springs has warm sunny weather year round so if you love the outdoors you will enjoy staying here. We have guests that have been coming back for years.

It sits on its own space right on the edge of the open desert about 200 yds from the pool, Jacuzzi, bathrooms, public showers and laundry room. There is a mini deck for chilling out behind the trailer with some chairs. There is also a fire pit. The trailer has 2 windows and has a very airy feeling when the ceiling fan is turned on. We suggest hanging out by the pool or staying in the shade during the warmer months because during the day it might get warm inside the trailer. Spectacular views of the mountains on three sides. Even though to the untrained eye the desert looks dry and desolate, once you spend a night in the middle of it all you may hear the howl of a coyote in the distance, in the morning you might wake up to the sounds of different kinds of birds, while sitting outside drinking your morning coffee you might see rabbits, humming birds, lizards, coyotes, roadrunners etc.

Borrego Springs is a dark sky community meaning there are no bright white lights and people use deep orange lights on homes and buildings so that the stars and moon can shine as bright as possible. Stargazers come from all over the world to view the incredible night sky in Borrego Springs

Regarding amenities:-
• The Tiki Hut which is in the common area of the park for your use, next to the pool which has a fridge, gas cook top, and a sink for you to prepare food if you choose not to use the trailer
• The laundry is located at the center of the park and takes quarters
• The pool and Jacuzzi are located at the center of the park
• The public showers and bathrooms are at the center of the park next to the pool
• WiFi signal is inside or close proximity to the clubhouse open 1st October to 1st May
• Wifi is only available within close proximity to my personal space # 33. Please feel free to sit and use the loungers. At the time of your reservation I will send you the info.
• TV is located inside the clubhouse which is open 1st Oct – 30th April

I live in San Diego and get to the vintage trailer park about 2 days a week. If I am not there I can be reached by phone or text

Desert Sands RV Park is just a stroll to Anza Borrego State Park, the largest in the state , art and culture, restaurants, bars and dining, great views, and the rustic artsy town of Borrego Springs that doesn't even have a traffic light or any big chain stores. There are numerous golf resorts within a 5 mile radius. The state park visitors center is just up the street with an interactive museum that shows how life was in the area millions of years ago. Its a must see!! There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain biking, road biking, off roading close by, mountain views, and points of interest.

The drive into town is roughly one mile away. You can walk, drive or you can bring your bicycles and start exploring. Behind the RV park is a mountain where you can take a morning stroll to the top and capture some beautiful images with your camera. The RV park borders Anza Borrego State Park.

The vintage trailer park is a very quiet quaint park. Please, other guests of the park must not be bothered by noise, partying, loud talking or shouting. If you do bring minors please know that this RV park has mostly elderly full time renters that are accustomed to a very quite environment but they love seeing kids have fun. Me and Tammy have teenage kids and they love coming out there as much as possible. Some of the amenities are in the clubhouse, Tikki Hut, pool area, laundry which is about 100 yards away.

We want to earn your 5 star review so if there is anything you need during your stay please let us know and if I can help you out we will try my best to accommodate you.

Hi and thanks for checking out my profile. I was born on South Africa and moved to San Diego in 1986. Me and my family own a rustic furniture import business in San Diego. I have a passion for vintage trailers, Harley motorcycles, exercising, building high powered custom electric bicycles to order and most of all me and my Fiance love traveling and taking road trips in our Sprinter van and small travel trailer. When the kids have gone off to college in a few years our plan is to travel full time between Alaska and Mexico. Recently we took a three week road trip to Cabo San Lucas and back which was amazing. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be in the hospitality business and specifically a bed and breakfast so I guess this is my start. If you decide to book with me I will go out of my way to insure you have a pleasurable time and I will be available 24/7 via phone, text and email with any questions or concerns you may have.

I have a few listings so if one does not work out please take a look at my other ones.

Thank you for stopping by
