Our detached guest house is very quiet and private. It's cozy and comfortable, and the perfect spot to relax after exploring Portland and the surrounding areas. It has everything you need for the perfect weekend getaway or business trip. The location has easy access to freeways, the airport, public transportation and bike ways. A keyless door lock provides easy self check-in and free street parking just in front of our home is almost always available. See our "House Rules" for pet fee info.

Built in 2018! Very private guest house located in Northeast Portland. The tall, cathedral ceilings give the space a very loft-like feel and allows for great light to fill every corner. This open concept also makes our 463 sq ft house feel and live much larger. The 100+ yr old barn door gives privacy and separation to the bedroom and bath area, when needed, while adding warmth and character to the space. The new, comfortable queen bed is dressed with cotton linens and lots of pillows and the bedroom also boasts good closet and storage space. The full kitchen is stocked with most everything you need for making simple meals. Enjoy your morning coffee and meals at a small dining table while looking outside into your own private patio space. The bathroom offers ample space with a large vanity with space for all your things and a walk in shower with beautiful tile and a glass door. A washer & dryer, along with laundry detergent is located in the bathroom for guest use. The living area has a small sofa and chair, along with a Smart TV, local magazines, games, Blue-tooth speaker and a super high-pile rug to sink your feet into after a long day of exploring the city and surrounding areas. WiFi, washable slippers, first aid kit, umbrellas, refillable growler, full length mirror, full refrigerator and a dishwasher are just a few of the great amenities offered. A twin air mattress and bedding is available for children and can be used in the living area. The space is not suitable for 3 adults, however. A $15/night charge is added for 3 guests. Coffee, tea, sugar, Whole Earth sweetener are provided for guests, as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The outdoor patio and courtyard space for exclusive guest use only. We have 2 dog parks located within a couple of blocks from us if you are traveling with your furry friends. Please see our "House Rules" for more information on bringing pets and the additional fees charged.

The guest house is yours to enjoy with your own private entrance! It's located up a couple of steps and a rock pathway from the street. The guest house is one-level so no stairs or steps once inside. We live on a Neighborhood Greenway aka Bike Path so please be aware of cyclists on the street when coming and going. All are welcome, just please be respectful and courteous to our space and neighbors.

Your privacy is important to us but know we are always available by phone or text. If we cross paths during your stay, we look forward to saying hello. We are also happy to give recommendations for restaurants and local must-see’s or answer any questions you might have.

We are located in a residential neighborhood in Northeast Portland. We are closest to the Hollywood, Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor and Rose City neighborhoods with very easy access to freeways and major streets like Burnside and Sandy Blvd. Max train stations are close by as well. Several grocery stores less than 5 minutes away - by car. Restaurants, a brewery with food carts and coffee just blocks away. A quick 5-15 minute drive to most of the hottest neighborhoods on the east side like Hawthorne Street, Division/Clinton, Mt. Tabor, Alberta, Montavilla and Laurelhurst. Easy access to downtown and convention centers. Providence Portland Medical Center is just a couple blocks away as well.

Easy street parking, usually right in front of the guest house, and super easy access to I-84 going east or west for those with a car. A 10 minute walk to our MAX train stop and it will take you all over the city. Good bus lines 3 blocks away. Buses and MAX can also access our streetcar system closer in to downtown. For our more adventurous travelers, Biketown bikes and Scooters (rentals by the hour) can also be found around the neighborhood at times.

We have a dog named Marley and you may see or hear her while she is outside. We have a fence that separates our outdoor areas and she's super friendly and a big, lovebug so no need to be scared. She's mostly an indoor, city dog but if she happens to be outside while you are coming or going she will most likely bark at you. Saying her name sometimes helps and it's usually short-lived.

Hi! I'm a native Oregonian and was born and raised in southern Oregon on the coast. I have lived in Portland for the past 20+ years working and raising 2 daughters. Living in the PNW affords so many opportunities to experience life at it's fullest. Some of my favorites are shopping the small, local districts in Portland, finding delicious food at every turn, and as often as possible heading out to the wineries to see what's new or driving up the Columbia River Gorge to hike or bask in it's beautiful terrain.
