"Zulu" is an 1956 ABC forty foot vintage trailer that has been totally refurbished with new paint, floors, kitchen, new kitchenware and bedding. She is 60 years old and has lots of storage for your belongings. There is a fold down futon/sofa bed in the living area which is quite firm and a queen size memory foam mattress in the rear bedroom. If you find that the fold down sofa/futon is too hard there is a foam mattress topper in the closet. The bathroom has a real house toilet and a full size bathtub with shower head. It sits on its own private space close to other trailers, the pool, Jacuzzi and laundry room. The trailer has many windows and has a very airy feeling with spectacular views of the mountains from the living room, kitchen and bedroom. Even though to the untrained eye the desert looks dry and desolate, once you spend a night in the middle of it all you may hear the howl of a coyote in the distance, in the morning you might wake up to the sounds of different kinds of birds, while sitting outside drinking your morning coffee you'll see rabbits, humming birds, lizards etc. Besides the regular bedding on the bed I have put a king size blanket in the closet if you feel a little chilly but with the heater you should be fine.

There is a code lock on the door and you will receive the code once you make your reservation.

You have the use of the vintage trailer and the space that it sits on. You also have access to the pool and Jacuzzi, and the laundry room and clubhouse (open 1st Oct – 1st Mayl) located inside an old double wide vintage trailer.

WiFi is only available in the vicinity of the pool and Tiki Hut area

Desert Sands RV Park is just a stroll to Anza Borrego State Park, the largest in the state , art and culture, restaurants, bars and dining, great views, and the rustic artsy town of Borrego Springs that doesn't even have a traffic light or any big chain stores. There are numerous golf resorts within a 5 mile radius. The state park visitors center is just up the street with an interactive museum that shows how life was in the area millions of years ago. Its a must see!!

There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain biking, road biking, off roading close by, mountain views, and points of interest. The state run visitor center us just up the street and has many interesting things regarding life in the pre historic desert.

The drive into town is roughly one mile away. You walk, drive or you can bring your bicycles and start exploring. Behind the RV park is a small mountain where you can take a morning stroll to the top and capture some beautiful images with your camera. The RV park borders Anza Borrego State Park.

The vintage trailer park is a very quiet quaint park. PLEASE no horsing around. Other guests of the park must not be bothered by noise, partying, loud talking or shouting. If you do bring minors please know that this RV park has mostly elderly full time renters that are accustomed to a very quite place which is the reason they rent in this RV park. Me and Tammy have two teenage kids each and they love coming out there as much as possible.

Borrego Springs is a dark sky community meaning there are no bright white lights and people use deep orange lights on homes and buildings so that the stars and moon can shine as bright as possible.

Regarding amenities:-

* The laundry is located at the center of the park and takes quarters.

* The pool and Jacuzzi are located at the center of the park

* The public showers and bathrooms are at the center of the park if you choose not to shower in the vintage trailer which may be a little cramped for showering.

* Zulu is over 60yrs old (please be gentle) and is not ADA compliant

* There is a TV in the clubhouse open 1st Oct to 1st May but no TV in trailer

* There is wifi in and close to the Tiki Hut / Pool area

I want to earn your 5 star review so if there is anything you need during your stay please let me know and if I can help you out I will try my best to accommodate you.

Hi and thanks for checking out my profile. I was born on South Africa and moved to San Diego in 1986. Me and my family own a rustic furniture import business in San Diego. I have a passion for vintage trailers, Harley motorcycles, exercising, building high powered custom electric bicycles to order and most of all me and my Fiance love traveling and taking road trips in our Sprinter van and small travel trailer. When the kids have gone off to college in a few years our plan is to travel full time between Alaska and Mexico. Recently we took a three week road trip to Cabo San Lucas and back which was amazing. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be in the hospitality business and specifically a bed and breakfast so I guess this is my start. If you decide to book with me I will go out of my way to insure you have a pleasurable time and I will be available 24/7 via phone, text and email with any questions or concerns you may have.

I have a few listings so if one does not work out please take a look at my other ones.

Thank you for stopping by
